This week Influenster sent me the imPress manicure voxbox. I was very skeptical of this product and convinced before I even tried it that I wouldn't like it, because I have tried at home acrylic nail sets before and never been satisfied with the final results. But impress is different... when I first opened the voxbox the first thing I noticed was the packaging and how cute it was. Each set is packaged in a resealable plastic container that looks like a nail polish bottle. The next thing I noticed was the designs on the nails themselves they were very vibrant and reminder me of the classic nail art that you would see at any mall nail studio. These are not like most at home acrylic nail sets there is no messy glue to try and apply. The glue is already on th nails, and this is what actually convinced me that I wouldn't like this product, it reminded me of the press on kits I used when I was a kid, you know the ones that you attach the glue tabs to, that pop of the moment you touch anything. But i put all my negative thoughts aside and decided to go ahead and give them a go anyway. I used the pink and black set first. I sized up all the nails which was pretty easy, next I used the included prep pad and primed my natural nail, and used the mini file (included in the set) to shape the nails so I would get the perfect fit. Then I started to apply the nails, this was a little more difficult than I thought. The first nail I applied actually tore when I was attempting to remove the plastic backing, which is not as easy as it looks but the more nails I applied it became easier and easier. When I was finished I was pleasantly surprised I actually LOVE this product it gave me a salon looking manicure in under 10 min... here are my final thoughts.
This product is so fast, fun, and easy. There is no mess and the final result is very nice. The only negative thing I can say about this product is the price... although I didn't pay for mine the information card in my voxbox states that the aver cost of each set is $8.99-$10.99 which seems a little pricey for something
